Implementing a custom torch.compile backend - a case study

A few years after completing his PhD in handwritten word recognition, Xavier Dupré joined Microsoft to work on Bing mostly improving its relevance. Xavier then became a key contributor to the ONNX ecosystem, focusing on developing several conversion libraries such as sklearn-onnx, onnxmltools, and tensorflow-onnx. He also played a significant role in implementing various kernels in onnxruntime. Currently, he leads the team responsible for developing the exporter from PyTorch to ONNX.
