Thomas Viehmann is a Principal Research Engineer at Lightning AI and lead for Lightning Thunder. He has been a contributor to PyTorch since 2017, founding the training and consulting company MathInf GmbH in 2018, and co-authored of “Deep Learning with PyTorch” in 2020. A mathematician by training, he has a Ph.D. in pen-and-paper analysis. He keeps a technical blog at https://lernappar.at.
